Mid-Week Tease – WIP – Love Thy Neighbor – Unedited – #MWTease

I’m baaaccckkk!  I just love this blog post feature that Author Sandra Bunino hosts and allows me, and others, to participate in every week. Mid-Week Tease allows us authors to share a snippet of a new release, a backlisted title or a WIP.  It’s great fun because aside from sharing a little part of my work, I get to read those snippets of the other authors on the list and have been introduced to an amazing amount of great authors and books.

This week I’m taking you behind the scenes of my writing and giving you a glimpse into a work-in-progress or as we like to call it – a WIP!  This is kind of exciting for me because no one has yet to read this piece at all… not even my husband has read a snippet.  This story has a working title of Love Thy Neighbor.  Ren Haynes is an almost twenty-three year old college graduate that is doing his engineering internship closer to home because he has had a thing for his thirty-three year old neighbor, Stacey Williams, for quite some time.  Stacey has recently went through a divorce and Ren sees this as his opportunity to make his move.  (Please remember – it is unedited! 😉 )

“Did you want tea or soda?” Stacey asked as she reached for the handle of the stainless steel refrigerator.  Before she could get the door open, Ren pressed against her back.  His woodsy, salty scent enveloped her.  He smelled amazing.  God!  How long had it been since a man had been this close to her? His hands captured her hips, holding her still as he pushed his hard cock against her backside.  “Ren!”

“Shhhh.  Don’t talk,” he said, brushing the few wisps of her hair along her neck aside and placing little kisses down the length of her neck.  She struggled to reign in the moan, but it escaped despite her best efforts when his warm lips fell on her skin.  It had been months since she had had physical contact with a man and even longer than that that a man had kissed her or caressed her.  Randy stopped being intimate with her the minute he got involved with the twenty-two year old.  Stacey had suspected something right away.

After the finalization of her divorce from Randy, she just needed some time to lick her wounds.  Being left for a much younger version had a way of depleting one’s self-esteem.  Eventually, she planned to put herself back out there.  For Christ’s sake, she was only thirty-three.  But she didn’t think she was quite ready yet; however, her body appeared to be more than ready.  Heat pooled between her legs and her breasts grew heavy at Ren’s close proximity.

 “Ren, we can’t do this,” she whispered.  Her voice sounded breathy when she spoke.  God!  Her body was completely giving her away.

“I’ve fantasized about doing this since I was sixteen, Stacey.”  His hands slid around her hips to her belly.  Gliding up her abdomen, his hands cupped her breasts through her bikini top.  “You look fucking amazing in a bikini,” he whispered in her ear.  His husky voice sent heat rushing through her.  “And I think you’ll look even more amazing out of it.”  His teeth pulled at the string tied around her neck until the top was untied and fell forward against his hands.  He let the top fall against the refrigerator door as his nimble fingers quickly untied the bottom string at her back. The bikini top fell to the tiled floor.  Ren growled over her shoulder as his hands cupped her bare breasts.  “I was right. God, you’re beautiful.”
