As an author, I’m thrilled to share my stories with you and Evernight helps make my books shine! Woohoo! I can’t believe I’ve had the privilege of spending almost the last seven months working with such an amazing publishing company as Evernight. Venturing into the world of being an author can be a scary adventure. You send the piece you’ve been working so hard on, the one you poured your heart and soul into out into the world of submissions and potential rejections. It’s not easy. But I will say this… once you become a member of the Evernight family, you are surrounded by people (authors, editors, marketing experts) that are there to help, support and encourage you. Whether it’s the weekly posts with marketing suggestions and ideas, the camaraderie amongst the authors in putting together events like Sexy Snippets, topics for our Facebook Reader’s page or the numerous offerings to help promote your book on the various author’s blogs, Evernight Publishing attracts amazing individuals. I’ve made great friends here and I am more than happy to be a part of the Evernight Family. Happy Birthday, Evernight Publishing… and to many, many, many more birthday celebrations! 🙂
My first book published by Evernight Publishing was In Flames. This story deals with an emotional situation involving loss and how it brought two people together. I fell in love with these characters – Gracelyn and Matt. They consumed me for months as I tried to get their story on the pages. These two are touched by the same tragedy and it takes courage and strength to stand again… together.

Gracelyn Riley married a firefighter. She knew that came with risks. But she never imagined herself widowed in her early thirties with two children to care for on her own.
As a fireman, Matt Riley was at the scene when his brother, Chad, was killed. He suffered greatly from survivor’s guilt and depression after the accident.
The last year has been difficult for both Gracelyn and Matt. They’ve relied on each other to get through the tough times. With the anniversary of Chad’s death upon them, Gracelyn and Matt once again turn to each other for comfort and support. They find it in each other’s arms—and bed.
Will their desire for each other consume them? Can they overcome the guilt and scrutiny to find love again…together?

Thank you for the chance to enter this giveaway on this wonderful blog. I really enjoyed reading the In Flames blurb. I’d like to find out how Gracelyn and Matt deal with the death of Chad and if the book has a happy ending. I might just need to get this one!
As for what I like about fireman, I sure do like those fireman calendars that I’ve seen all over the place 😉 However, more seriously, I think what makes them so attractive (as well as others in uniform) is that they put their lives in danger to save others without a thought. True heroes like the old mythological ones, just in a modern sense. There is just something wonderfully attractive about that.
I shall now stop babbling and say thank you once more and with everyone the happiest of all days.

What do I love about firefighters? It’s like, how do I love thee, let me count the ways! I love the hot sexiness they have. I love how they look in a uniform. All joking aside, I admire the fireman. They are amongst America’s finest heroes! It takes a special person to walk into a burning building. I love how they make great characters in stories too! What is there not to like?

What don’t I! I have/had (haven’t really spoken in few years) a FireFighting buddy, and every time I visited him at work (yeah, only did that cause he worked alot, right 😉 ) it was like girl candy land!
