I thoroughly enjoyed Kishan Paul’s book, Blind Love, published by Samhain Publishing. Who doesn’t love a challenged heroine and a hot sexy ex-Marine hero who have to overcome several obstacles in order to be together. Blindness-or near blindness in Lauren’s case- can sometimes hinder what that person can do, but not Lauren. Despite a failed marriage with an ex that can’t seem to get over her, Lauren became a psychologist and has made quite the career with the help of her best friend, Sunshine. But Lauren’s love life is not only lacking, it’s basically non-existent. Enter Gabe.
Gabe is remodeling the townhouse next door to Lauren’s and makes his presence known with all the banging and drilling. Sparks fly when these two meet, but Lauren’s resistant of letting a man too close. Her ex-husband, Ben, destroyed any faith she had in relationships. But Lauren enjoys Gabe’s company and as they say – one thing leads to another.
This book is filled with all things a romance should be filled with–cute banter between the eventual couple, a strong heroine, a hunky hero, a supportive and funny best friend, a lovable dog, a few laughs, a couple tears, and a bit of suspense. Though this is not a steamy hot romance novel, Kishan did a terrific job tying these two lives together to a very satisfying end. I look forward to her next book – perhaps a story about Sunshine Daye! 🙂
Thank you for hosting Blind Love. I’m sorry it took me this long to see it. Hugs.. Kish
